How did you go with your goals?
- Lose weight and cms specifically around my hips: Wow! This was my biggest loss area!
- Edge closer to 64kg: This was a couple of kilos above my pre-babies weight so I was trying to be realistic. Well, now I'm just about pre-baby weight again...and I think a better version of that weight now too!
- Kick my sugar and coffee addiction. Oh my...it was hard going but I made it through the challenge without one coffee....and some hardcore withdrawal symptoms that first week! I was also a biscuit sneak and a big one for anything labelled 'low fat' (hello sugar!) of which I would eat twice the amount. I also have a pristine record in this department throughout the challenge!
- Grazing after dinner on naughty things and coffee!. Much, much better here. I have stuck to having a small amount of stewed fruit with cinnamon and tried the treat recipes when needed. I am also enjoying peppermint tea instead of coffee...obviously I am having a much better night's sleep because of it!
Overall, did you achieve what you wanted to?
Yes. I have always found it difficult to shift weight from my hips and thighs. This is the best result I have ever had in this region! I am also rather pleased that I can see a hint of a 6-pack happening. There have been loads of unexpected bonuses too; clearer skin, no afternoon slump and a much more thoughtful, nutritional approach to preparing meals for my family.
What did you like most about the program?
I so loved the inbox messages. It was a little motivator for each day. Very engaging, inspiring pieces and fun videos! For me, there were so many revelations about nutrition and exercise conveyed through the programs and fitness sessions. The results were above and beyond my expectations.
What would you say to other ladies considering this program?
The Bottoms Up! Bikini Body Overhaul went above and beyond my expectations. For most of my adult life, I battled to shift weight from my hips and thighs. BUF's amazing exercise program and key nutritional advice gave me amazing results, losing 11 centimetres from my hips, 9.5 cm from my thighs and nearly 10 cm from both my waist and belly! There have been loads of unexpected bonuses too: a clearer complexion, loads more energy and a new approach to preparing food for my family. I have learned so much these past 6 weeks and I am aiming to maintain many of the changes I implemented during the program. As long as you have a good dose of will-power, you will get results!
